About The Formula

This is an incredibly supportive blend designed to soothe a sore throat, calm a cough, and support the immune system. With herbs like marshmallow, mullein, and elderberry, this is a multi-purpose elixir here to support you during any cold or flu. The tincture is combined with a little raw honey for another layer of support. Providing you with what you need to boost the immune system, while also supporting the respiratory system.

Marshmallow; Althaea officinalis

Useful whenever a soothing effect is needed, marshmallow protects and soothes the mucous membranes. Marshmallow’s demulcent qualities bring relief to dry coughs, and bronchial asthma, and chronic bronchitis.

Elderberry; Sambucas nigra

The berries have an antiviral activity, helping prevent and speed recovery from upper respiratory infections such as colds and flu. They also help tone the mucosal linings of the nose and throat, increasing their resistance to infection and are recommended for chronic congestion, ear infections, and allergies.

How to Use

If suffering from a sore throat, tip your head back and let the elixir coat the back of the throat.

Add to water and drink.

Take sublingually per usual.

The Story Behind The Formula

I've never been a fan of commercial drug store cough medicine. It always upset my stomach and made me drowsy. I wanted something that was natural, yet effective at providing relief so of course I decided to make my own. I chose herbs that would soothe physical symptoms while also boosting my immune system. I didn’t want to have to take multiple things. I wanted it to be easy. It took a while to get the formula right as we aren’t sick very often, which left few opportunities to try it out. However, once I got it, I have been incredibly pleased with the results. My favorite thing about it is the ginger, as it provides a slight burn on the back of the throat which is such an amazing relief to a sore throat. It’s definitely a must have for cold and flu season!
